Do you like swimming, or just want to be with people who also like to drink beer and party without obligation? Then become a SPONS member! You can become a member of SPONS throughout the year. A membership costs 41 euros for a whole season (September – July). For half a season (January – July), it costs 24.60 euros. For the first year, you need to pay this via iDeal at registration, and after that it will be automatically debited annually.
To become a member, you must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres (1 lane) of consecutive freestyle and 50 metres (2 lanes) of consecutive breaststroke. Can’t do this? Then follow our swimming course first.
Please note: mail your BVI (Proof of Enrolment) to bestuur@aszvspons.nl within 1 week of enrolment, otherwise we will not be able to verify that you are a student and you will be immediately deregistered.

Are you becoming a MEMBER of SPONS? Then follow these steps to arrange your swimming subscription.
- Buy a swimming subscription on the USC website. To train during our hours, you need a fitness swimming pass from the USC. In order to purchase such a pass you need to go to the physical USC location Science Park to buy a swimming subscription. Prices can be found on the USC website (Students studying at a dutch university fall under category 1).
Address: Science Park 306, 1098 XH Amsterdam - Bring the receipt with you to the Marnixbad. When you collect your swimming season ticket, you will be given a receipt which you can use to get a yellow access band at the Marnixbad reception desk. Note: this band costs €10 once, so don’t lose it!
